Allen M. Baker III: Seeking A Revival Culture: Essays on Fortifying an Anemic Church

.
MP3 Available Here

Allen M. Baker III, pastor of Christ Community Presbyterian Church (PCA) in West Hartford, CT, will address the theme of his book: "Seeking A Revival Culture: Essays on Fortifying an Anemic Church".

Our guest tonight has an earnest desire to see revival, and believes God wants to bring it, but laments that we are unwillng to pay the price. Tonight Pastor Baker will develop this theme Biblically.

Pastor Baker is also traveling around the country leading "Days of Revival Prayer", and tells us "God is meeting us powerfully in these
times in various churches!"

As the publishers describe Pastor Baker's book, "Seeking a Revival Culture":

"The great burden of Al Baker's life, that which drives him in Christian ministry more than anything else, is to see the church of the Lord Jesus Christ rise up and become mighty as she has been so often in past years. One thing has become very clear to Baker—the western church is in big trouble.

"Many pastors are terribly discouraged in their ministries. So are their people. Pastors have been told that they can model their ministries after whoever the latest and hottest preacher is, and all will be well with them, that they can expect exponential growth in their churches. With few exceptions, this has not been their experience. They have attended the seminars and read the latest books, but they have little to show for their efforts.

"As a pastor, Baker is heartbroken over the vastness of people's problems in today's church—everything from incest, child molestation, homosexuality, pornography, severe depression, suicide, divorce, wayward children, adultery, fornication, and more. The pastoral problems are epidemic. The Christian faith in American churches is woefully lacking. Church people are generally no different from those of the world.

"What are we to do? We need revival. We need a revival culture in the western church. We need, like Israel laboring under Egyptian bondage, to become intolerable of our circumstances. Israel cried out to the Lord when their slavery became intolerable to them. May God move us to divine discontent, to be dissatisfied with the status quo!..."

"Al Baker targets a revival culture by means of revival living prompted by a burden for an anemic Church and a hunger to see it return to revival vigor. His volume is as pulsating with Scriptural content and Spiritual energy to that end as I have read for quite some time. It illumines areas of revival living in an eye-opening fashion that should go a long way to cure the anemia that he shows to be all too prevalent." —Henry Krabbendam, Professor Emeritus, Covenant College
Pastor Baker is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America denomination and has been in the ministry for 25 years. A graduate of the University of Alabama, he received his Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Prior to being called to Christ Community PCA, he was Senior Pastor of Golden Isles Presbyterian Church for 10 years; while there, he also served as Board Chairman of The Whitfield School from 1994-2002.

Pastor Baker has been actively involved in foreign missions to Central America, Africa, The British Isles, Asia and the Far East. He is a regular contributor to Come Follow, the magazine of Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship and produces a weekly e-mail devotional, Forget None of His Benefits (read now). Al and his wife, Wini, have been married over 35 years and have three grown children, Andrew, Allen and Jeff, and three grandchildren.

James S. Spiegel: The Making of an Atheist: How Immorality Leads to Unbelief

.
MP3 Available Here

James S. Spiegel, who teaches courses in philosophy and apologetics at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, will address the theme of his book: "The Making of an Atheist: How Immorality Leads to Unbelief".

As Dr. Spiegel's web site describes his book:

"Sigmund Freud famously dismissed belief in God as a psychological projection caused by wishful thinking. Today many of the 'new atheists'—including Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris, and Christopher Hitchens—make a similar claim, insisting that believers are delusional. Faith is a kind of cognitive disease, according to them. And they are doing all they can to rid the world of all religious belief and practice.

"Christian apologists, from Dinesh D’Souza to Ravi Zacharias, have been quick to respond to the new atheists, revealing holes in their arguments and showing why theistic belief, and the Christian worldview in particular, is reasonable. In fact, the evidence for God is overwhelming, confirming the Apostle Paul’s point in Romans 1 that the reality of God is 'clearly seen, being understood from what has been made so that men are without excuse' (Rom. 1:20, NIV).

"So if the evidence for God is so plain to see, then why are there atheists? That is the question that prompted The Making of an Atheist. The answer I propose turns the tables on the new atheists, as I show that unbelief is a psychological projection, a cognitive disorder arising from willful resistance to the evidence for God. In short, it is atheists who are the delusional ones.

"Unlike Dawkins and his ilk, I give an account as to how the delusion occurs, showing that atheistic rejection of God is precipitated by immoral indulgences, usually combined with some deep psychological disturbances, such as a broken relationship with one’s father. I also show how atheists suffer from what I call “paradigm-induced blindness,” as their worldview inhibits their ability to recognize the reality of God manifest in creation. These and other factors I discuss are among the various dimensions of sin’s corrupting influence on the mind.

"I’ve been told that The Making of an Atheist is a provocative book, but I didn’t write it to provoke anyone. I simply wanted to tell the truth about this issue. Anyway, since the new atheists are bold enough to trumpet their claim that theists are delusional, it seems appropriate that someone should be willing to propose that the opposite is true. As they say, turnabout is fair play..."

James Spiegel earned a B.S. in Biology at Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi (1985). From there he turned his interests to Philosophy, earning two graduate degrees in the field, an M.A. at University of Southern Mississippi (1988) and a Ph.D. at Michigan State University (1993).

After teaching for a year at Moorhead State University in Minnesota, he went to Taylor University where he continues to teach a range of courses in philosophy, including ethics, history of philosophy, aesthetics, epistemology, philosophy of religion, and apologetics.

Over the years, Dr. Spiegel has authored numerous books and articles on issues in ethics, aesthetics, philosophy of religion, and popular culture, including the award-winning
How to Be Good in a World Gone Bad. In addition to teaching and writing, Dr. Spiegel speaks at colleges, professional conferences, and churches and is frequently interviewed for radio programs.

Dr. Spiegel is an active member of several professional scholarly societies and serves on the executive board of the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He has refereed for numerous philosophical journals and served as editor of the Berkeley Briefs, the newsletter of the International Berkeley Society.

Co-hosting this broadcast is Pastor Ron Glass of
Wading River Baptist Church in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY, who has done his own thorough research on the writings of contemporary Atheists and Agnostics.

Tom Nettles: Pastoral Training in the Third Millennium: What All Seminaries Can Learn From James Petigru Boyce (1827–1888)

.
MP3 Available Here

Tom Nettles, Professor of Historical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky (see www.sbts.edu), and author of "James Petigru Boyce: A Southern Baptist Statesmen", will address the theme: "Pastoral Training in the Third Millennium: What All Seminaries Can Learn From James Petigru Boyce (1827–1888)".

Dr. Nettles is a finalist for the John Pollock Award for his new biography of James Petigru Boyce, a 19th century Baptist hero of the Faith (the winner of the award to be announced this May). Nettles' biography of Boyce focuses on his theological development, his lifelong struggle to establish the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the theological controversies that shaped Baptists in the last half of the nineteenth century.

"Finally, here is a contemporary, definitive biography of James Boyce, the nineteenth-century, visionary founder of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where Boyce served as chairman of the faculty, and as professor of systematic and practical theology, and church government. Tom Nettles shows how Boyce gave his life to training Baptist theological students in orthodox, Reformed, experiential theology. Nettles does with Boyce what Iain Murray did with Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. Without resorting to hagiography, Nettles offers fascinating details of God’s great work through Boyce’s intriguing relationships with other notables, such as Archibald Alexander, Samuel Miller, Charles Hodge, Basil Manly Jr., Francis Wayland, F. B. Meyer, John A. Broadus, William Williams, and C. H. Toy. Ultimately this captivating biography moves us to worship God. Make it your must-read biography this year." -- Dr. Joel R. Beeke, President, Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids

Dr. Nettles is a graduate of Mississippi College (BA) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv and PhD). He is widely regarded as one of the foremost Baptist historical theologians in America. He previously taught at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, where he was Professor of Church History and Chair of the Department of Church History. He has served on the faculty at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary since 1997.

Dr. Nettles' other published works include the nearly 500-page book By His Grace and For His Glory: A Historical, Theological, and Practical Study of the Doctrines of Grace in Baptist Life.

John M. Rowley:A Witness For Christ in the Dark World of the Self-Help Industry

.
MP3 Available Here

John M. Rowley, internationally recognized author, speaker, entrepreneur and peak performance and fitness expert, will address the theme: "Being A Witness For Christ in the Dark World of the Self-Help Industry".

According to our guest's web site:

"John M. Rowley's amazing rise to the top has become the stuff of legend and inspiration. His credentials include being a college athlete whose career was cut short by a near fatal car accident, a career as a janitor and the nerve to tackle the high powered world of Manhattan real estate and the dynamic international field of fitness. Although John’s athletic career was cut short he studied kinesiology, exercise, anatomy, fitness and nutrition with intensity in order to get his body healthy again after the devastating accident...

...In real estate John made a name for himself managing some of the most prestigious properties on Park Avenue and the upper east side of New York and managing the holdings for many notables including Harry and Leona Helmsley. John also owned R&J Health Studio, the gym known as “The East Coast Mecca of Bodybuilding.” R&J Health Studio received international attention when it was featured in the movie, Pumping Iron, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno...

...What began as a young person’s quest to reclaim his own life has grown into Rowley’s lifelong obsession, a crusade to help individuals transform the quality of their lives in a significant way. To help and inspire everyone he touches to maximize their energy, passion, body and life forever and to live the life of their dreams..."

One of our guest's goals is to be a witness for Jesus Christ in the "Self-Help" industry, and to be used of God to lead those who are being deceived by the New Age Movement and the damning, false philosophies of men out from the darkness into the light of the Gospel.

John is the author of "Climb Your Ladder of Success Without Running Out of Gas" and "The Power of Peak Performance" (see

Eric Redmond: When Your Theology Costs You Your Pulpit: An African American's Journey into Reformed Christianity

.
MP3 Available Here

ERIC C. REDMOND, author, sought-after theologically Reformed conference speaker and founding pastor of Reformation Alive Baptist Church in Temple Hills, MD, will address the theme: "When Your Theology Costs You Your Pulpit: An African American's Journey into Reformed Christianity".

Pastor Redmond's book, "Where Are All The Brothers?: Straight Answers to Men's Questions About the Church", is one of his attempts to help strong men give Christ a second look by addressing some of their modern day concerns. He also contributed to "Glory Road: The Journeys of 10 African-Americans into Reformed Christianity".

Pastor Redmond served as the Second Vice-President of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2007 to 2008, and has served as the Theology Editor for "NAAF Outlook: Newsletter of the African American Fellowship of the SBC". He has also served on the Trustee Board of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary . He is a gifted expository preacher and teacher of God's Word. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary , his passion is to see lives transformed by growing in love and understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Redmond’s ministry emphasis lies in expositional preaching and teaching of the Scriptures, development of godly male leadership, and the cultivation of Biblical community within the local church. He has a burden to encourage academic theological studies at research levels among young African-American church leaders, and to see the rearing and sending of African-Americans into international missions work.

Currently, Pastor Redmond also serves as an Assistant Professor of Bible & Theology at Washington Bible College in Lanham MD . He feels a burden to reach all generations for Christ, so that a generation yet unborn might be raised up to know and love God. On his blog, "A Man from Issachar", Pastor Redmond again attempts to point his readers to Christ through an examination of current events.

Pastor Redmond and his wife Pam will have been very happily married for almost 20 years. They have five children – Charis (18), Chloe (16), Candace (12), Calvin (10), and Codell (9) – and they reside in Lanham, Maryland. The heart of the Redmond’s ministry partnership is strengthening families.

A controversial and refreshingly honest article by Pastor Redmond that is highly recommended, "Living Soli Deo Gloria Under Obama", may be read here.

David Wood: Islam's Abused Little Girls: The Nujood Ali Story

.
MP3 Available Here

David Wood, Evangelical Christian apologist to the Muslims, will address the theme: "Islam's Abused Little Girls: The Nujood Ali Story".

At the age of nine, Nujood Ali was forced by her Muslim parents in Yemen to marry a man in his thirties. On April 2, 2008, after repeated beatings by her husband's parents and frequently being raped by her husband for the two months subsequent to the arranged marriage, she escaped from her "prison home" and sought after a divorce, which was thankfully granted to her by a Yemeni judge, even though there is no minimum age requirement for marriage in Yemen. You can read more about this brave young girl's story in the book she wrote with Delphine Minoui: "I am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced".

Tonight's guest, David Wood, has become fondly known as "Iron Sharpens Iron's Resident Apologist to the Muslims". David is a Teaching Fellow in Philosophy at Fordham University . A former atheist, David converted to Christianity based on the historical evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus. David now debates both atheists and Muslims and is co-director of Acts 17 Apologetics Ministries, an organization he founded with Nabeel Qureshi, a convert from Islam to Christianity. David also contributes to http://www.answering-islam.org/, which he considers to be the very best resource available anywhere, bar none, to discover and learn the true history and teachings of Islam. He personally operates the blog site http://www.answeringmuslims.com/.

David's ministry comes very highly recommended by frequent "Iron Sharpens Iron" guest, renowned Christian apologist and biblical scholar Dr. James R. White of Alpha & Omega Ministries. Doug Geivett: Faith, Film & Philosophy: Big Ideas on the Big Screen (Christianity & the Arts)

.
MP3 Available Here

Doug Geivett, Professor of Philosophy in the Talbot Department of Philosophy at Biola University, La Mirada, CA, will address the theme: "Faith, Film & Philosophy: Big Ideas on the Big Screen (Christianity & the Arts)".

Tonight's theme comes from the title of a book edited by Doug Geivett and James Spiegel (see
http://www.faith-film-philosophy.com/index.html). According to Doug's web site:

"Those who tell stories rule society."
- Plato

So who today are our principal storytellers? Not philosophers, but filmmakers. For those who know both the enormous entertainment potential and the culture-shaping power of film, this book will stir mind and imagination. For great stories freight world-sized ideas, ideas worthy of contemplation and conversation. Great cinema inspires wonder. But another philosopher, Aristotle, reminds us that wonder is the true source of philosophy. So perhaps Plato or Aristotle might have a shot at ruling society, even today--if they took an interest in film.

The fourteen essays of Faith, Film and Philosophy explore big ideas as they are treated on the big screen. The book explores classic and contemporary films, together with several major philosophical themes, all from a Christian perspective.

Citizen Kane, Big Fish, and Pretty Woman treat us to a deeper-than-expected consideration of the human condition.

The Truman Show, The Matrix, Being John Malkovich, and It's a Wonderful Life, and other popular films provide absorbing insights into the nature of knowledge and of the human mind.

Looking at the moral life, contributors peel back layers of meaning in Pleasantville, Bowling for Columbine, Mystic River and The Silence of the Lambs.

In the final section of the book, three chapters trace the theme of faith and religion in relation to science (Contact and 2001: A Space Odyssey), Kung Fu (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and other Hong Kong films), and the meaning of life (U2's Rattle and Hum).

Faith, Film and Philosophy is a virtual film festival for all who wish to nurture the wonder of philosophical inquiry and the love of Christian theology through an engagement with big ideas on the big screen.

Doug Geivett will be the featured speaker at the Christianity and the Arts Conference, Thursday, March 18th through Saturday, March 20th at:

Presbyterian Church of Manchester, 394 Lydall Street Manchester, CT 06042-3301 (map). For details visit www.ManchesterPCA.org or call (860)643-0906.

R.C. Sproul, Jr.: Believing God: 12 Biblical Promises Christians Struggle to Accept (Part 1)

.
MP3 Available Here

R.C. Sproul, Jr., author, conference speaker and contributor to "TableTalk" magazine, will address the theme of his latest book: "Believing God: 12 Biblical Promises Christians Struggle to Accept".

As the publishers describe it:

In his latest book, Believing God: 12 Biblical Promises Christians Struggle to Accept, Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr. challenges Christians to take a second glance at the promises of God in the Bible in order to see anew the grandeur of what God has committed Himself to do for His people. Sproul explores twelve of the most significant promises in Scripture, methodically unpacking each divine pledge. He shows that while Christians may express trust in God’s words, they refuse, in numerous ways, to stake their lives on what He says.

In the final analysis, the book functions as a mirror in which every reader with a teachable heart will see how he or she can more fully believe God. All Christians who appreciate careful biblical teaching and heartfelt passion for God will appreciate and benefit from this book.

"R.C. Sproul, Jr. helps us see that in Christ Jesus all of God's promises are 'Yes' and are meant to be believed and relied upon." -- Jerry Bridges, author, "The Pursuit of Holiness"

Co-hosting tonight's program is Pastor Jim Capo of the Massapequa Church of God, Massapequa, Long Island, NY.

Jim Handyside:The Power of Corporate Prayer

.
MP3 Available Here

Jim Handyside, pastor of the Reformed Baptist Church in Anniesland Glasgow, Scotland, will address the theme: "The Power of Corporate Prayer".

Tonight's theme is also the topic of Pastor Handyside's book "
Melt the Icebergs: A Fresh Look at Prayer". As the Reformed Baptist Church in Anniesland's web site describes it:

The mighty rusting blunted sword lying largely unused in the scabbard of the Evangelical Churches, the forgotten crown jewel in the treasury of our God given resources in fighting the good fight of faith; namely fervent praying, is what prompted the felt need to write this book Melt the Icebergs! It has received wide acclaim from around the world, and while making no extravagant claims to literary excellence, or exceptional theological insight, it nevertheless has sought to approach the subject of the great need for the recovery of dynamic prayer meetings in Evangelical churches, from a novel standpoint. The Reader we trust will find it challenging, thought provoking, and above all eminently Biblical.

The fairly extensive bibliography provided, will help to provide further stimulating reading on the subject of prayer, which should be helpful to the earnest Christian. Numerous encouraging testimonials have been received by the Author, suggesting that the book has been a means under God of re-kindling a genuine interest in this crucially fundamental exercise of the New Testament church. We trust that the principles set forth will glorify God, edify the Church and hasten a God given Revival in our days!

"Pastor Handyside has set out to do what every pastor could wish to have attempted: a book designed to promote real scriptural and heartfelt prayers in the members of the church.. The main lesson in Melt the Icebergs! is that we are all beginners in the school of prayer and that we had better all take a lowly and teachable place if we are to make progress in that vital area of our lives as Christians."-- Maurice Roberts, former editor of The Banner of Truth Magazine, author, conference speaker

"The church in the latter part of the twentieth century is suffering many woes, but none as serious as the weakness she displays in prayer.. Melt the Icebergs! Is a manual on prayer, full of practical instruction and encouragement to every believer who longs for his life and his church to be powerful in the arena of prayer. This book is a must for the church."--
Dr. Richard Belcher, International University, Columbia, SC

Bob Hayton: Reforming Fundamentalism Through Reformed Theology

.
MP3 Available Here

Bob Hayton, founder of Fundamentally Reformed , will address the theme: "Reforming Fundamentalism Through Reformed Theology".

Bob is a former Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB), who now embraces Reformed Theology. He blogs to: 1) spread a passion for Jesus Christ, 2) help people harmed by extreme fundamentalism, 3) encite wider reform in fundamentalism & beyond, and 4) defend his theological positions. Bob also operates the "King James Only?" blog spot, the King James Only Research Center web site and other helpful blog spots and web sites.

According to our guest, Bob Hayton, "Often in fundamentalism, doctrine and Biblical exegesis are downplayed, ignored, or avoided. Topical or shallow messages prevail. Church members learn their do’s & don’ts but not what the Bible actually says (the arguments Biblical authors use, the context of favorite proof texts, or Bible doctrines in general). While fundamentalists claim to be standing on the Bible alone, rare is the church that actually opens itself up to Biblical scrutiny. For instance, it is an assumed thing that the Bible will not actually be shown to teach Calvinism, post-tribulational rapture, or covenant theology. So anyone who would espouse one of these positions or another similar position is immediately identified as a heretic and the church never actually carefully reviews what the Bible says on the matter...

"Fundamentalists assume that their practices, standards, and positions are Biblical to the point of reading into the Bible what is not there to support their traditions and viewpoints... while fundamentalists claim to be the stalwart defenders of true doctrine, they are in fact the defenders of old-fashioned (actually late 1800’s early 1900’s) tradition..."

Scott Lively: A Christian Response to the Gay Agenda (Part Two)

.
MP3 Available Here

Scott Lively, Evangelical Christian pastor, founder of Abiding Truth Ministries and Defend the Family International and coauthor of The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party , will address the theme: "A Christian Response to the Gay Agenda".

Tonight's theme is the subtitle to Scott's new book: "
Redeeming the Rainbow", a comprehensive but easy-to-understand textbook for Christians and other defenders of God’s design for family and society which explains in detail:

1) the nature, causes and characteristics of homosexual dysfunction and militancy;

2) the history, philosophy, goals, methods and strategies of the global “gay” movement;

3) the urgent, escalating and imminent danger this movement represents to all aspects of Christian civilization throughout the world;

4) specific, practical principles for responding to each of the many areas of “gay” aggression -- all firmly grounded in and supported by both Scripture and non-religious logical analysis, documentation and terminology.

As Dr. Lively describes it:

"On June 17th of 2009 I published what I expect to be my final book on the homosexual issue. 'Redeeming the Rainbow: A Christian Response to the Gay Agenda' is the product of 20 years of service as a front-lines opponent of the homosexual movement and encompasses all that I have learned through this long tour of duty. Although a print version of the book is now available for purchase in our bookstore, the electronic version in PDF format is free for download (by clicking on the image of the book's cover on our home page:
http://www.defendthefamily.com/) and may be freely distributed without charge or restriction, except that you may not alter the book or offer it for sale. I encourage you to make the fullest use of this, my gift to the international pro-family movement."

Robert Knight, Senior Writer/Correspondent for Coral Ridge Ministries said that this book "is a remarkably intelligent, easy to read primer on all aspects of homosexuality and should be required reading on campuses and by pastors, seminarians and anyone curious about why this phenomenon has advanced so rapidly in our culture. Dr. Lively is one of those rare writers who anticipates the next question so well that the reader would have to strain to come up with one not addressed in this formidable book. Finally, he offers individuals and their families hope for change and a blueprint for the restoration of the natural family and a healthy culture."

William Shishko: Helping Others: Some Insights Into the Right & Wrong Ways to Approach Benevolence

.
MP3 Available Here

William Shishko, pastor of the
Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Franklin Square, Long Island, NY will address the theme: "Helping Others: Some Insights Into the Right & Wrong Ways to Approach Benevolence".

Tonight's discussion is largely being drawn from a book that Pastor Shishko heartily recommends: "When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor...and Yourself" by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert (see http://www.whenhelpinghurts.org/).

As the publishers describe it:
"Churches and individual Christians typically have faulty assumptions about the causes of poverty, resulting in strategies that do considerable harm to poor people as well as to themselves. When Helping Hurts is a book by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert of the Chalmers Center for Economic Development that directly addresses these assumptions..."

During Pastor Shishko's time ministering to the Franklin Square congregation the church has been blessed with significant numerical growth, and has overseen the formation of two mission churches, one in Mount Vernon, NY and the other in Bohemia, NY.

Pastor Shishko has been privileged to serve on various presbytery committees, and also on the OPC denominational Committees on Coordination, Ecumenicity, Home Missions, and Christian Education. Along with his regular pastoral duties he currently serves as one of the instructors for the Ministerial Training Institute, OPC. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Taylors, SC, where he teaches in the department of Applied Theology.

He has written numerous articles for the OPC publications NEW HORIZONS and ORDAINED SERVANT, as well as magazines such as The Banner of Truth . His public ministries have taken him to various foreign mission fields, including Suriname, Cyprus, Egypt, Uganda, China, Eritrea, and Wales, and his conference ministries have been carried out in a number of states in our own nation. In addition to these, he continues to make use of his radio training by producing and hosting a variety of programs that are periodically aired in the metropolitan New York area.

Guest: John M. Otis, Pastor of Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church (RPCUS) in Burlington, NC. Although our guest tonight agrees with last night's guest, Martin G. Selbrede, on his theonomic convictions, he, unlike Mr. Selbrede, is a Preterist Postmillennialist.

From January 4 to 8, 2010, Pastor Otis conducted 27 hours of lectures for Christ Theological Seminary on the subject: "Kingdom, Church, and Eschatology." These 27 hours of videoed lectures (utilizing a power point presentation) will soon be made available for free viewing on Pastor Otis' publishing website, www.triumphantpublications.com.

Theonomic Postmillennialism Defended

.
MP3 Available Here

Guest: Martin G. Selbrede, Vice President of the Chalcedon Foundation .

The guest originally scheduled for this broadcast, Willard Ramsey, author of "Zion's Glad Morning", agreed not to participate in our "End Times Series" after he concluded that his Postmillennial position (unlike that of his replacement, Martin G. Selbrede), is essentially the same as the position already presented by Dr. John Jefferson Davis, author of "Christ's Victorious Kingdom: Postmillennialism Reconsidered", on last Tuesday's broadcast. Pastor Ramsey will be invited back on the program in the near future.
