David Wood: Islam's Abused Little Girls: The Nujood Ali Story

David Wood, Evangelical Christian apologist to the Muslims, will address the theme: "Islam's Abused Little Girls: The Nujood Ali Story".

At the age of nine, Nujood Ali was forced by her Muslim parents in Yemen to marry a man in his thirties. On April 2, 2008, after repeated beatings by her husband's parents and frequently being raped by her husband for the two months subsequent to the arranged marriage, she escaped from her "prison home" and sought after a divorce, which was thankfully granted to her by a Yemeni judge, even though there is no minimum age requirement for marriage in Yemen. Tonight's guest, David Wood, has become fondly known as "Iron Sharpens Iron's Resident Apologist to the Muslims". David is a Teaching Fellow in Philosophy at Fordham University . A former atheist, David converted to Christianity based on the historical evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus. David now debates both atheists and Muslims and is co-director of Acts 17 Apologetics Ministries, an organization he founded with Nabeel Qureshi, a convert from Islam to Christianity.
