Originally preached by Edwards on July 8th, 1741, in Enfield, Connecticut, this sermon was part of a nationwide revival that changed the course of America for generations. Edwards has long been considered one of the foremost theologians of all time, reaching the lofty position of Princeton University in 1758. This broadcast is especially important when considering the sad fact that the threat of torment Hell is nearly entirely absent from the sermons of many of the most popular preachers today!
During this program we will also promote an upcoming special event at the Massapequa Church of God involving this sermon on Wednesday, September 26th, 7:30pm
(see http://www.thesermon1741.com/upcomingevents.html).
