Walt Chantry: Today's Gospel: Authentic or Synthetic?

Walt Chantry, Editor of Banner of Truth Magazine , author of many books and former pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Carlisle, PA for nearly 40 years will address the theme of his classic work: "Today's Gospel: Authentic or Synthetic?"

Although written over 40 years ago, "Today's Gospel" contains a warning for the church that is, sadly, just as desperately needed to be heard by Christians today as it was in the 1970's.

Chantry declares that, "Differences between much of today's preaching and that of Jesus are not petty; they are enormous. The chief errors are not in emphasis or approach but in the heart of the Gospel message."

Based on the account of the Rich Young Ruler, Chantry demonstrates that what passes for the gospel message today is not what Jesus was teaching. This little book (less than 100 pages long) is a must read for anyone trying to comprehend the Lordship battles. An excellent study on the subject of the true gospel message and its illegitimate cousins.

"This little book will open your eyes to see the gospel through passage of the Rich Young Ruler in a whole new way. Chantry has the one of the best understandings of law and gospel we have seen. An antidote to today's market-driven, seeker gospel. Highly Recommended!" --
