DR. JAMES R. WHITE: "WHY DO WE SUFFER?"

MP3 Available Here

DR. JAMES R. WHITE, founder & director of Alpha & Omega Ministries , a theologically Reformed Christian apologetics ministry based in Phoenix, AZ, will address the timeless question asked by all, Christians and non-Christians alike: "WHY DO WE SUFFER?"

Dr. White will also respond to the new book by renowned liberal scholar Dr. Bart Ehrman, a former Evangelical who now professes to be agnostic: God's Problem: How the Bible Fails to Answer our Biggest Question: Why we Suffer.

Dr. White is a professor, having taught Greek, Systematic Theology, and various topics in the field of apologetics. He has authored or contributed to more than twenty books, including The King James Only Controversy, The Forgotten Trinity, The Potter's Freedom, and The God Who Justifies. He is an accomplished debater, having engaged in more than sixty moderated, public debates with leading proponents of Roman Catholicism, Liberal Protestantism, Islam, Oneness Pentecostalism, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Mormonism.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to listen to this message. Suffering is difficult but easier to bear if one understands that it does not occur by mere "chance" nor because God is impotent to do something about it nor to have foreseen it coming. If we truly believe in God's attributes...that He is Sovereign, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Just, Love, etc... then we have to come to terms with the reality that He is in control. We live in a society that does not honor parents nor shows respect towards authority; we think we know best and know it all. This is one of the biggest reason we find it so very difficult to accept those things we do not understand and that seem unjust to us. We do not see nor know all. I pray that we humble ourselves more before circumstances humble us.

I want to encourage you and thank you, Mr. White, for the time you spend in studying and edifying the church. It really helps people like me who really want to grow in the faith and need sources we can trust. I would like to also thank this wonderful radio program that airs quality material which feeds our minds and enlarges our understanding.
