LORRI MacGREGOR: "CANADA GAGS THE GOSPEL"
MP3 Available Here
LORRI MacGREGOR, co-founder along with her husband Keith of MacGregor Ministries a Christian counter-cult apologetics organization in British Columbia, Canada, will address the theme: "CANADA GAGS THE GOSPEL." The Canadian Government will not allow any critiques of other religions. You can be any religion you want as long as you do nothing but promote your own religion. In Lorri & Keith's case, in addition to presenting the Christian religion, they were responding to attacks on Christianity.
MacGregor Ministries carefully documented these attacks and responded to them from a biblical perspective, in a respectful and even kind manner. To their knowledge, none of the groups attacking Christianity through their websites or magazines got taken to task, only MacGregor Ministries! At the same time, they present sound, biblical, Christian doctrine, which promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is, of course, their purpose. They were told they had to present all religions as equal, could not be "persuasive" regarding Christianity over others, and had to get rid of their website and magazine. Their presentation of the Christian gospel through their DVD's and printed matter was ruled "uncharitable" and their careful critique of others in defense of Christian doctrine was called "hate". Since they could not compromise their faith, they had to ask that they Charity status be voluntarily revoked.
MacGregor Ministries was in operation as a registered charity run by full-time volunteers since 1980, using no funds for fundraising or salaries, and donating their creative efforts to the Charity at no cost to the Charity. The valuable work of MacGregor Ministries will continue as a corporation, MM Outreach, Box 454, Metaline Falls, WA 99153. They are but one of 2,500 charities that ceased to exist in Canada this year, due to government efforts to shut down registered charities.Lorri MacGregor grew up in a good home, but not a Christian home. When she was 18 years of age two life-changing events occurred. Her beloved grandmother died, and she was present in a high school shooting, with her friend dying as she knelt beside him. Lorri was traumatized, but there was no recognition of that problem in the late 1960's so she was sent home. She began seeking God in earnest, even contacting two pastors who more or less dismissed her. The Mormons came to their door first, but as Lorri questioned them she just knew God was not an exalted man from a star-base who had many wives and children in heaven.
Enter the Jehovah's Witnesses. By scripture hopscotching and what seemed to be a lot of knowledge they did away with the Christian doctrines Lorri had found in the encyclopedia during her search, the Trinity, the Deity of Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection. With no Christian background she was easy prey for the JW's. Also she had always been works-oriented so their religion was a fit. Grace was never mentioned, and salvation was by works. Most of the teenagers in the JW congregation were married as early marriages were encouraged. Lorri was already enrolled in University but was pressured by the elders to do two things due to Armageddon coming so quickly. She was urged to drop out of University and to get quickly married to a JW, as she was already the advanced age of 18! Lorri wanted so much to please God that she obeyed the elders, his alleged representatives on earth. She believe her thinking would have been clearer had she not been traumatized, but vulnerable people trust too much. The marriage was a difficult one, lasted 13 years, and produced two wonderful sons. Lorri nearly died at the birth of her first son, refusing a blood transfusion, so she became a "hero" in the congregation. After a mental cruelty divorce, She was a single Mom with two boys, still a JW in good standing. As time went by Lorri met a Christian man at my workplace who was determined, in his quiet way, to spend time with her. She told him she did not date but if he wanted to study the bible to become a JW, she would agree to that. To make a long story short, he began to educate himself on her beliefs and raised many questions. Over time, he got Lorri with this one: "Prove to me from the Bible that Jesus Christ is the Archangel Michael--give me at least one scripture that says that". As she looked this up in the Watchtower literature and went through the "rat trail" of fragments of scriptures to arrive at their doctrine, it sounded weak to her. She took herself off to the elders believing they were "spiritual" and would help her. Instead she was told off for questioning "Jehovah's Organization" and was ordered to immediately stop seeing this Christian man.
Lorri left that meeting feeling that she had been kicked in the stomach by a mule. She now knew they were not God's organization. She resigned with a phone call to the presiding elder, repented of her JW years and false doctrine, searched the scriptures, and finally prayed to Jesus to forgive her and receive her as His own. It was a very powerful moment of rebirth.God proved Himself to Lorri many times over the next years, through many trials. The date for Armageddon came and went, Oct. 4, 1975 but Lorri and Keith marked it in a special way by getting married on that date! God kept sending people to them who needed help coming free from cult involvement to the extent that they wound up their business affairs and went full time in the ministry in 1979. They have been serving the Lord full time since that date, teaching in churches, colleges, and lots of media venues, in Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Now their DVD's travel worldwide instead of them!In June of 2007, a Canadian government auditor visited Lorri and Keith MacGregor and told them they had to comply with their requirements or be shut down. They did their best to comply, but finally realized that they would have to compromise their Christian Faith to continue as a registered Charity. They could not turn their backs on their calling from God, so they requested revocation of their Charity status. However, they will not quit the ministry, even though they are seniors. Their ministry partners, Richard and Cheryl Schatz are on site to help them, and they will continue on as a corporation MM Outreach. They can be reached at MM Outreach, Box 454, Metaline Falls, WA 99153.

STEVE CAMP: "WHAT HAPPENED ON CALVARY?: An Examination of What Christ Accomplished on the Cross, and For Whom His Mission Was Intended"
MP3 Available Here
STEVE CAMP, Grammy Award winning song writer, Christian recording artist, theologically Reformed apologist, controversial Christian blogger and founder of audienceONE Ministries will address the question: "WHAT HAPPENED ON CALVARY?: An Examination of What Christ Accomplished on the Cross, and For Whom His Mission Was Intended." This broadcast is a continuation of the theme which began yesterday with Pastor Robert Elliott of Reformed Baptist Church of Riverside, CA, on "The Importance of the TULIP". Today the "L" in that historic acronym will be emphasized.
Catholics and many Evangelicals alike have great disdain for the doctrine of the Atonement embraced by "Reformed", "Calvinist" or "Sovereign Grace believing" Christians known as "Limited Atonement" (also known as "Definite Atonement" and "Particular Redemption"). But a question remains for all who claim to be grateful for the Atonement provided by the shedding of Jesus Christ's blood: "Was the number of those whom Christ intended to Redeem limited, or was His Redemptive power limited?" Only a consistent Universalist who believes hell will forever remain empty and all will be welcomed into Heaven could possibly answer that question "Neither!"
Today Steve Camp, knowing all biblically orthodox Christians (contrary to Universalists) believe that many will be damned for all eternity, will seek to demonstrate that since the *power* of the Atonement was infinite, all for whom Christ died *will* be saved. This Atoning power was so *limitless* and *perfect* that sinners can do nothing to add to it in order to bring to fruition what Christ has already accomplished. Not even our belief perfects Christ's already perfect work. Logically, since countless millions will be damned, those in that number of souls in hell must never have been intended to be beneficiaries of the redemption that Christ accomplished at His Crucifixion.
During this broadcast we will also be promoting next week's 5-DAY RADIO DEBATE, Monday, March 3rd - Friday, March 7th, between DR. LARRY CARRINO of The Omega Institute and DR. F. LaGARD SMITH, author of Troubling Questions For Calvinists on "The Doctrines of Sovereign Grace: Biblical Truths or Dangerous Fallacies"

ROBERT ELLIOTT: "THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TULIP: The Immeasurable Value of the Doctrines of Sovereign Grace"
MP3 Available Here
ROBERT ELLIOTT, pastor of Reformed Baptist Church of Riverside, CA, will address the theme: "THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TULIP: The Immeasurable Value of the Doctrines of Sovereign Grace".
Pastor Elliott was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Though he was raised in a Christian family, it wasn’t until his mid-teens that he embraced the Lord Jesus as His Savior. Upon becoming aware of the call to preach, and being encouraged by his church to do so, Robert attended seminary at the Free Presbyterian Theological Hall in Northern Ireland. He married Janice, whom he had known for many years in the summer of 1985 and since then they have been blessed by God with three daughters.
Robert has taught at Reformed Baptist Church of Riverside, CA since July of 1995. He desires that God would glorify Himself through building a community of believers who honor Him by worshipping in spirit and in truth. Robert believes that the local body should be composed of members who love God, one another and who are committed to passionately maintaining and presenting eternal gospel realities to the world.
Today Robert will discuss how "The Five Points of Calvinism" (Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace & Perseverance of the Saints), are an invaluable aid to help us more fully understand how we sinners are completely dependent on our holy, righteous and sovereign God.

WILLIAM NORMAN GRIGG: "CASTRO's COMMUNIST REGIME: 'ALL IN THE FAMILY'"
MP3 Available Here
WILLIAM NORMAN GRIGG, former Mormon High Priest who converted to Evangelical Christianity, former Senior Editor of The New American magazine and the author of such controversial books as Freedom On The Altar: The UN's Crusade Against God & Family , Global Gun Grab: The UN's Campaign to Disarm Americans and The Gospel of Revolt: Feminism vs. the Family will address the theme: "CASTRO's COMMUNIST REGIME: 'ALL IN THE FAMILY'."
As most know by now, yesterday (Sunday, February 24), Raul Castro was named president of Cuba by its parliament after nearly a half-century of rule by his notorious brother Fidel. Old guard revolutionary leader, Jose Ramon Machado, who fought alongside the Castro brothers in the Sierra Maestra during the late 1950s, was elevated to the Number 2 slot that Raul Castro had previously held. Raul Castro assured Cuba's parliament that he will consult with his brother Fidel on all major decisions of state, stressing that his brother remains "commander in chief" even if he is not president — a motion approved by acclamation.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, a close friend of Castro whose country is now a major economic ally of Cuba, said the leadership change in Havana was "occurring without any type of trauma." Chavez continued, "Transition in Cuba?...The transition occurred 49 years ago, from that capitalism, dominated by imperialism, (under which Cuba) was a colony, to a socialist Cuba. The transition will continue marching forward, always with Fidel at the forefront."
During this broadcast William Norman Grigg will address the fact that many in 21st century America have forgotten the brutality of the Communist dictator Fidel Castro and the extent of evil his regime has inflicted upon its opponents. Mr. Grigg will also address the significance of the Castro Dynasty's existence in this world in the third millennium.

Psalm 146:3 states, "Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save." In the upcoming United States presidential election, people are either excited or dismayed about the cadidates. Steve exhorts us to remember Who really is in charge of the election outcome.

JOHN DAVIS: "IN THE WORLD, NOT OF THE WORLD"
MP3 Available Here
JOHN DAVIS, pastor of Amityville Community Church, an independent, nondenominational fellowship affirming the Doctrines of the Sovereign Grace of God located in Amityville, Long Island, NY, will address the theme: "IN THE WORLD, NOT OF THE WORLD".
It is quite obvious that our world today is wicked and sinful, just as it was in the day when the Apostle Paul wrote: "Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation..." (Philippians 2: 14-15a). We as Christians are faced with the dilemma that this is the world we live in. We are not to retreat from it and live a monastic life isolated from all but those who share our faith. As long as we live on this earth we must remain in the midst of godless sinners, as Paul continues: "...among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain" (Philippians 2: 15b-16). Yet, while we are "in" the world, we must simultaneously *not* be "of" the world. As our Lord put it during His High Priestly Prayer to His Father: "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world" (John 17:14).
During this broadcast, Pastor Davis will seek to guide Christians as we carefully walk the "tightrope" of being in the world but not of the world, prayerfully seeking to maintain balance by befriending sinners while not imitating them. In addition to his pastoral duties at Amityville Community Church, Pastor Davis is a teacher in New York City's public school system.

DR. CHARLES R. CURTMAN: "SENTIMENTALISM VS. BIBLICISM: The Lopsided Theology of Modern Religionists"
MP3 Available Here
DR. CHARLES R. CURTMAN, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Wildwood, Missouri , Adjunct Professor of History at Missouri Baptist University , author of Covenanted Together: A Check List For Church Membership, God's Plan For Paying the Pastor, Twenty-Seven Live Coals From the New Testament and How to Build a Basic Library, (see these books, here) will address the theme: "SENTIMENTALISM VS. BIBLICISM: The Lopsided Theology of Modern Religionists."
We are all aware that individuals professing to be Christians who could rightly be labeled as "Religious Bigots" do indeed exist. When they condemn the religions, ideologies and philosophies of others their motives stem from pride, arrogance, self righteousness, ignorance and hatred. Such bigots often slander those of other belief systems by (either intentionally or unintentionally) teaching half-truths, distortions or outright lies about them. It is frequently obvious their primary motives to condemn the beliefs of others are to mock and insult them rather than to compassionately warn them of danger, lovingly correct them of error, patiently educate them of truth, and humbly reach their hearts with the lifesaving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The sad reality, however, in this politically correct world, is that many godly, scholarly, gifted Christian apologists and evangelists who truly speak the truth in love, with a genuine love for God's holy, inerrant Word and a genuine, Christlike compassion for the never-dying souls of men, are frequently falsely accused of religious bigotry merely because the individual exposes certain teachings of other faiths and religions as heretical and damnable. Dr. Curtman will seek to demonstrate that all Christians must stand for truth and oppose a lie even if we must hurt the feelings of others in doing so, but always remembering to "speak the truth in love" (Ephesians Chapter 4:1-32).

MARK MICHAEL ZIMA: "IS MOTHER TERESA A SAINT?: A Catholic's Critical Examination of a Modern Day Catholic Hero" (PART 2)
MP3 Available Here
MARK MICHAEL ZIMA, a Traditionalist Catholic in good standing, returns to "Iron Sharpens Iron" for PART 2 of his interview on the very controversial question "IS MOTHER TERESA A SAINT?: A Catholic's Critical Examination of a Modern Day Catholic Hero". Our phone lines were jammed from beginning to end yesterday, so we wanted to give more of you an opportunity to call in with questions.
Catholics, Mainline Protestants and even many Evangelicals uphold Mother Teresa of Calcutta as one of the greatest heroes of Christendom. Ten years after her death, she still holds the moral imagination of the world. Those who question Mother Teresa’s sanctity are treated as misguided souls who would better their time imitating her virtues than probing for her peccadilloes. The Christian world will praise Mother Teresa feeding the hungry and giving drink to the thirsty. But what faithful Christian will praise her for saying:
"I’ve always said we should help a Hindu become a better Hindu, a Muslim become a better Muslim, a Catholic become a better Catholic."
Quoting Mr. Zima from his new book Mother Teresa: The Case for the Cause :
If this book will be of any profit to you, you must separate the Mother Teresa of shadow from the Mother Teresa of substance. The popular image formed in head and heart of Mother Teresa must be put aside for the objective nonemotional reading of the evidence. Your challenge is to ask yourself the following questions:
1.) If anyone else who was not Mother Teresa said and did these things, what would I think? How would I respond?
2.) Did Mother Teresa follow the faith once delivered to the saints?
3.) By her words and deeds, did Mother Teresa follow in the footsteps of the saints who preceded her?
4.) Did Mother Teresa believe and consistently teach that only in truth can man find salvation?
5.) Did Mother Teresa believe and consistently teach that no one knows God except anyone to whom Jesus wishes to reveal him?
6.) Did Mother Teresa teach another gospel?
7.) Did Mother Teresa believe in a new God?
To further describe the theological perspective from which our guest is making his evaluation, according to Mr. Zima,
"A Traditionalist Catholic is not a Sedevancantist, Neo-Traditional, Neo-Conservative, or Liberal Catholic. A Traditionalist Catholic believes Pope Benedict XVI is the 265th pope of the Roman Catholic Church. That traditional religious forms are nothing without the traditional faith. That blind obedience to the hierarchy of the Church is not virtue but vice. And that to be a Catholic a person is bound to the official and authoritative teaching of the Church."
Mr. Zima is a former religious brother of two communities: the Brothers of Our Lady of Reconciliation and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He has devoted much of his life to theological and philosophical studies as well as the evangelism of Catholicism. He has taught Sacred Scripture, as well as RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) and has been a Catholic youth director at a parish in Oregon. He has been associated with many different Catholic organizations including the St. Augustine Institute of Catholic Studies, the St. Anthony of Padua Chapter of Una Voce, and the Fatima Crusader.
He knew and visited the late Fr. Malachi Martin, a theological expert at the Second Vatican Council and author of The Jesuits and many other popular Catholic books. He has worked to found Catholic monasteries with Catholic priests. He has written to Cardinal Ratzinger before he became Pope Benedict XVI (An Open Letter and Request to Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger), and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, to address the theological problems in the Church.
CAVEAT LECTOR: This interview is not to be mistaken as an expression of "modern ecumenism" between the Reformed Baptist host and his Roman Catholic guest on this radio broadcast. The host merely believes that a critical examination of Mother Teresa from a scholarly Catholic perspective is not only something that may never be heard or seen elsewhere in the media, but is a valuable topic for discussion in a day and age where the desire to preserve theological purity has been replaced with sentimentalism in both modern Catholicism and Evangelicalism. In addition to that, when considering the life of a much beloved Catholic figure who is a hero to countless millions worldwide spanning religious boundaries, the host believes if a Fundamentalist or Evangelical Protestant were to provide the critique, many would not seriously evaluate the contents of this broadcast due to a misconception that "religious bigotry" was the underlying motive of this discussion.

WILLIAM SHISHKO: "SUICIDE: A Christian Response"
MP3 Available Here
WILLIAM SHISHKO, pastor of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Franklin Square, Long Island, NY will address the theme: "SUICIDE: A Christian Response".
Most if not all of us has either had a friend or loved one who has committed suicide, or we know someone who has had someone close to them take their own life. Christians must obviously respond to this issue with great sensitivity and prayerful thought. On the one hand, you have Roman Catholics who believe all those who commit suicide (if they do not live long enough to receive the "sacrament of penance" or the "last rights") will certainly be in hell. Even many Arminian Protestants believe those who commit suicide will certainly be in hell since it is a sin you cannot repent of. On the other hand, many modern Evangelicals preach a gospel that does not necessitate repentance in the heart of the believer, making a choice such as suicide more appealing to the severely depressed individual who has accepted this false notion.
Pastor Shishko will attempt to approach this vital subject with the biblical balance that enables believers to comfort those who grieve after the suicide of a Christian loved one, while at the same time not offering the severely depressed a false peace in finding suicide as a valid option for escape.
During Pastor Shishko's time ministering to the Franklin Square congregation the church has been blessed with significant numerical growth, and has overseen the formation of two mission churches, one in Mount Vernon, NY and the other in Bohemia, NY.
Pastor Shishko has been privileged to serve on various presbytery committees, and also on the OPC denominational Committees on Coordination, Ecumenicity, Home Missions, and Christian Education. Along with his regular pastoral duties he currently serves as one of the instructors for the Ministerial Training Institute, OPC. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Taylors, SC, where he teaches in the department of Applied Theology. He has written numerous articles for the OPC publications NEW HORIZONS and ORDAINED SERVANT, as well as magazines such as The Banner of Truth . His public ministries have taken him to various foreign mission fields, including Suriname, Cyprus, Egypt, Uganda, China, Eritrea, and Wales, and his conference ministries have been carried out in a number of states in our own nation. In addition to these, he continues to make use of his radio training by producing and hosting a variety of programs that are periodically aired in the metropolitan New York area.
